Thumbs down Awful End to a Great Season...

I am a new member of the forum and wish I was joining under better circumstances. I never knew this forum existed until the past Sunday when a fellow angler from New Hampton mentioned it when we met on White Lake in Tamworth.

I lost my fishing outfit that day... PLEASE read my posts "**LOST - REWARD OFFERED**

Thanks to everyone in advance for getting the word out. I look forward to contributing to future topics on the forum. Wishing all a happy end to the year.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry it's under such difficult circumstances. I hope your gear is found by an honest person and returned to you. Tiz the season for doing the right thing.

Looks like he has it. Hope it works out.

It is a plain fact, however, that downstream fishing with a non-imitative fly (lure, in the British sense) does not mix comfortably with upstream imitative fishing...I'll stay out of the argument about whether this technique is really fly fishing. In terms of interest, it is for me ahead of most downstream fishing and spinning. And I've already opined that spinning is better than staying at home with the television set.

Congrats on another happy ending here in New Hampshire. Just over a year ago I left my collapsible landing net on the ground next to my car parked at the dam on the Newfound River. Upon returning home I realized my mistake and immediately posted on here asking if anyone found the net to please contact me. Imagine my surprise when within 2 hours I had a response and my net was safely in their possession. I thought for sure it was gone. Believe it or not there are a lot of good people out there.
