Default Flies

I tie my own streamers for trout and salmon and some local favorites that you just can't buy , I tied all my salt water stuff ( haven't gone or tied in a couple of years) and steelhead stuff, I have had hooks bend on steel head when i couldn't get my usual hooks, lightning strike where the ones that bent, seemed to be not heat treated and were soft,I have had hooks break on removal from fish and it seemed the hooks were to hard / not annealed. Bad QA at these hook factories for sure, not what we are buying at local shops for sure. I will report back as to how these flies hold up. Big Y flies are good quality and Fly deals are Ok as well. I always buy a few flies from where ever i am fishing as a ritual more than anything else, North Country Angler ( Love the per river selection),Maine Guide Fly Shop , Malindas, Whitakers are my favorites. I buy all my tying stuff at Stones but never flies.

No follow-up reply, as yet. My advice forget about these fools. Support your local fly shop, they deserve it.

Default Flies

Will be buying a bunch of flies in your home state next month at upcountry, great selection there.

I contacted these guys and they got right back to me, I should have my flies by next week. I will post an update when I receive them.
