The Maine one is real weird, no rainbows stocked in there and it's on an island so I'm not sure how that got in there?

Just read the rainbow story. The guy who caught it said the line broke and the fish was so tired that it just lay there in the shallows and his buddy jumped in and grabbed it... On a Shakespeare kit from Walmart... Come on...

I completely believe it.... I have had rainbows do that plenty of times to me (except the breaking the line part).

I caught a 12+ lb. Coho on a 10 lb. Zebco spinning outfit I bought at Valdez Hardware when I was up in Alaska cleaning up the oil spill in '89. Broke off a half dozen before that one though ...

Yes, that's a great story of the Maine rainbow. And so's yours ljgurke about coho in Alaska.

Here's a youtube video of a huge shark caught (but not landed) on a Barbie Zebco. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJq3mMqtASE

Goes to show...it can be done.
