Default Lamprey River (Durham)

Fished the Lamprey twice now just below Packers Falls Dam. Went once on Tuesday last week and went this Monday.

Both times the water was very cold. I waded and was able to cover a decent area but there wasn't a lot of action. Saw one fish taken on a spinning rod Tuesday by the guardrail along Bennett road. Both times there was some surface action later in the evening after it started to get darker, no bites though.

I've been throwing mostly dark stonefly and caddis variations without much success. Also tried a small black wooly streamer with a red tail, no luck.

If anyone else has been fishing there with any luck please feel free to share, I plan to stop by at least one a week while the weather gets warmer.
