A Slow Day @ Joppa
Submitted - 2005-05-29
Friday May 27th.
Fished Joppa at mouth of Merrimack.
First day we were able to get out since Monday. There was a lot of excitement. We thought maybe with 4 days of East wind that the river would be blown full of fish. Not so. Fishing was slow. Fished the drift for most of the outgoing. Strange mix of fish. Most of the stripers were small with the occasional large fish. Landed one good fish at 38” on 9” white sluggo. Johns guys got a couple of fish over 30”.
