THUR: Left work at 3PM Hauled A#$ to Wintrop. The Forecasted Less than 1ft and West winds 5-10 Had somehow become East at 15-20 , With 1-3 with the Ocasionall 3-6 thrown in. Fish were right at the ramp though. Really could have left the boat on the trailer. Easy Pick of School Bass.
SAT: Met fellow FFNH ‘er “Solid” at my house at 4:30AM, On the Water by 5:30AM. As I motored out of the Harbor It did not take long to realize that we weren’t dressed for the occasion. Cold!
It was slack tide and dark , We were early I knew nothing would be going on until Sun up. With the tide starting to move at the same time as sun up it was going to be a great AM!
We were not disappointed!

Lots of Birds and Fish, Not particularly easy fishing. Lots of bait around so you do have the needle in the haystack factor. We fished deep under the schools for the best results; No big fish but steady pickings. Solid got his first of Many Blues.

The big boys are their just need to put the time in.Something I am short on these days.
Biggest fish was a team effort. I had somehow loaded my reel without looping the line to the backing. Felt the loop when the fish ran in my hand luckily, Soild worked the rod while I pulled line. Fat 26” !

More Blues than I would expect for the end of September, Quincy Bay at Slack tide was loaded with Rats. This is a good thing. I have found that once there are no more blues the Bass are gone in a week or two.
That may be my last outing! I am booked solid with family obligations and Trout, Salmon, Steelhead Trips! Till NOV4.
Hate to Even Look At The Calendaer these Days!
Might Have to Blow of work one day to put in a Long one, Hate explaining those sunburns!
