Stripers and Mackerel in the Piscataqua

On my way to shopping in Portsmouth, I briefly stopped to view the water between Newington NH and Kittery ME and saw a hundred gulls working within casting range at dead high tide around 5:30 PM this evening. I broke out the tackle and got into mackerel and schoolies for an hour of great action. Wading, I hooked one almost at my feet. So I guess it is not over yet.

There were scattered birds as far up as the gen. sullivan and beyond. 8)

I was also thinking about making the haul to the coast this evening. Anyone catching anything from shore in Hampton/Rye/Plum island?

Anyone get out out this weekend (I know the weather sucked)? I'd like to get out this week someday before work, just curious if there still around...
