In prepartion for the upcoming season I thought I'd throw out a couple observations about changes to shoreline access.
The water and sewer project for Plum Island is in full swing. Currently the large parking lot at the Point is being used for construction equipment and fill storage. There are maybe 1/2 to 1/3 the ususal # of parking spots. Further, the parking lot at the PI River bridge is being used as the staging area for directional drilling equipment that will punch the lines under the PI River and Basin. They should be done with that in 4 to 6 weeks but its going to limit access to the hole just south of the bridge.
On a plus note the Hampton/Seabrook harbor reconfiguration project is complete. I haven't scouted it out yet but, if you can find parking, you caan walk/wade the entire west side of the middleground flat to fish the Blackwater river all the way from River St (?) to nearly the center of the harbor.
Figured I let you guys know so you could plan accordingly.
