I have my Snake Garters Ready, Sharpened My Machete and Have Waxed My Pit Helmet! (Open Door For Ridicule There!)

We should definitely be concentrating on getting involved with TU with this or any other conservation project,

There is an Organization Forum coming to FFNH in the works that will be limited to groups like TU to post projects that we can get involved with. For now it would be best to pick a current TU project and volunteer our services.

Personally, My plan is to go to the Pemi TU meeting on the 16th to see how much interest there in getting a quality fishery going in the Pemi’s Bristol stretch. If there is I will be going all in there till it is up and running. If not I plan on getting involved with the GBTU projects. There is no way we start any of these projects alone.

The Pemi project is a put and take non- sustaining effort, based on the GBTU meeting that is really not the best way to create a quality fishery, but in some cases it may be the only way. The Pemi stretch in question I would think it would be the only way. But I am no expert, just a guy who wants to catch fish! We will see how it shakes out after the 16th.

As far as Head Water Exploration Now, I think we can manage getting invloved with many projects at once, we have 475 Members!

Your right, and as you point out, this dry year has made this a good opportunity to catalog streams. In the future this data base of streams that have brookies in their headwaters or do not will be invaluable for future projects. Even ones beyond our lifetimes. If this catalog was created 100 years ago we wouldn't be scratching our heads wondering if fish are there or not. So this is an incredibely valuable tool for planning purposes.

I don't know the Pemi very well and if they are referring to the section in Bristol or further downstream, but read though this report and take note of bullet #5. Hope it helps.

Thanks! Matt A Glimer of Hope

"Several of the tributaries that flow through the Franklin Falls Army Corps Flood Control Area into the Pemigewasset River are also full of wild trout. The property is open to the public and the streams are easily accessible, but still provide a sense of remoteness. "

Something I was thinking about last night is we could use a catchy slogan. "The run through the rivers", or "back to the bay campaign". Something we can sloganize and take to companies like Irving, Orvis, or Beans for contributions.

Yup all about merchandising/brand recognition, we get some stuff to sell with a cool logo and the $ will poor in.

I was eating (with all the beautiful people at one of favorite Newbury St. Spots, Tapas ( Gear Sangrea and Aps, Ducklings and Baby Rabits are my Favorite). And I see this big sign for a Cupcakes place, and then i see a Truck driving by, Johnny Cupcakes! I am like ummm Cup cakes for desert.

I get in there, looks like a Bakery; All they sell is T-Shirts with cupcakes on them! WTF

Here's to you Jonny Cakes .

Ya...Ya sure..that's right cupcake...

That sounds like southie.

That logo thing sounds good, not just for clothing but also for those cheap conservation signs. If we ran a series each year we could give a waterfront industry something to hang on their peir.
