I upgraded some of my Striper fishing gear over the winter and decided to get rid of my backup rod/reel. This is what I started with and it is a nice combo for someone looking to get into the Salt!

Okuma Celilo rod
9' 6" 8/9 (Fast action)
2 - piece

Okuma Integrity 8/9
spooled with Cortland 444SL Intermediate line

I have used this combo for 3 seasons. After the first season I broke the tip off the rod. Okuma replaced it with a brand new rod that has seen little use. The reel shows some wear and tear, but I take really good care of my stuff so it has plenty of life left.
When I say this rod is fast it is fast. It easily handles 350 grains, and big fish! I took my 40" bass on this combo! I would like to get $100.

There is a fantastic review of this exact setup on Tackletour.
Check it out.

Oh, Almost forgot, this would include a rod/reel case from Cabelas.

Good deal! Those integrities are tough. I have one with almost no fisnish left on it and it still functions fine.
