Last week in the N.H. Senate a vote to kill another legislative study committe for the Lake Sunapee public access ramp failed by just one vote. This legislative study committee is nothing more than a delaying tactic being used to delay free public access for this lake. The F & G permitting process is still being allowed to continue although an attempt to kill that was also made in committee but failed. But you can be sure it will be contested in the courts
Please take 5 min out of your busy day and contact your state Representative and request the vote not to concur with the Senate amendment to this bill (HB45) for another delaying Legislative study committee report.
Please do this by Wednesday ,June 10 Public access to all NH lakes over 10 acres is guaranteed by law(RSA271:20) since 1901 but it never happens unless there is a big fight to get it to happen.
Not only is this a vote for free public access to Lake Sunapee but is a policy setting president for other lake, pond and stream access here in NH. If there is no public access we don't get to fish Legally that is.
