This is a great deal...if anyone's in the market for a float tube, the Outcasts are awesome. I have two of these exact tubes and they are fantastic. Plus, Outcast is the best company to deal with, I had a leak in one air bladder, and they overnighted me a replacement just on my word.

any idea what they weigh? can you fit them in a big pack if they are deflated?

They're pretty big, I'd check the outcast site for specifics...for packing in somewhere your best bet is to inflate and the carry in with the bottom against your back. They come equipped with D-rings on the bottom for backpack straps.

I have two of the deluxe models and they weight 14 pounds each. I hike them in to remote ponds inflated....carry them over my back. My backpack acts as a good rest.

interesting idea but I think I would rather carry it broken down with the pump (better mobility). Plus air does weigh something... it would offset the weight of the pump a bit...
I just cant imagine doing some of the trails with an inner tube on my back:mrgreen:
and why does everyone have two,,,, why dont I know anyone with two
never tried float tubing... hell just getting into this whole trout fishing thing but this has peaked my interest big time

I got ONE of these last year on Hunyak's recommendation and it is phenomenal. They track well and aren't affected by the wind as much as a canoe would be. I use this in profile and in umbagog (coves only) and this is a great platform to fish from you are elevated a bit to.
It is perfect for remote ponds but I haven't perfected how to trasport it yet. So far inflated seems the unlikely best option.
