Hey Steam Train,
There are lots of us who striper fish from kayaks. I have been a few times this year, but have only caught schoolies so far. Check out this site:
www.newenglandkayakfishing.com it's a great site with lots of good info. There is a tournament being held on Joppa Flats on the 18th of June, you should try to come. The other guy who posted in reply to your question, Mark, if the co-founder of the web site I just gave you. My user name there is Trout Hunter also. If you ever want to go out striper fishing, drop me a line. I'm always looking for an excuse to go.

Thanks for the compliments. She actually didn't test my balance too much, mostly ran straight, then went deep. If your wondering, it wasn't caught on a flyrod  I haven't figured out how to work the long rod for Stripers yet, but am trying.
The Joppa meet is a freindly get together to (hopefully) catch some fish & have fun. There will be a laid back catch, photo, release tournament in Salem MA in August put on by NEKF.

what time of day is the joppa get together?
The plan is for a 6am launch. Judging from last years 'Yakfest', some will be fishing long before & some will get there later.

Steamtrain from the looks of your rig you are all set for Stripers, I just sold my Yak this year. I had a Pungo 140 and after fishing with it for a couple of years finally got around to seeing what would happen if I fliped it. I could not get back in if I was solo, even with all the gadgets they sell. Paddle Floats, Pumps etc.
With that being said of I have the agility of a large snaping turtle, so other people with those types may have more luck.
This Fall I plan on picking up a SOT, easy in easy out.
