    UPS,
I also agree with you that there is no rational reason to close the season Oct 15, but don't feel it is worth getting into a pissing contest over it. Next year I believe you will see a number of additional ponds open to fishing after Oct 15 in the southern part of the state. tight lines, Gerry

    UPS,
There are plenty of places to fish year round not too far from Nashua - many of them are in Massachusetts. In the fall after many of the good spots close on Oct 15, you can still fish the Piscataquog, Souhegan and Contoocook Rivers, even the special regs section in W. Henniker is open until Nov 30. Same with the Sugar River FFO area. This year it will be a waste of time unless they do a fall stocking, because these rivers essentially dried up and will have no holdovers. You can also fish the Pemigewasset River from Ayers Island dam in Bristol to the MASS border. In October and November there will be broodstock Atlantic Salmon that you can fish for with an $11 salmon stamp. Your best bet is to get a MASS fishing license next year, because the rivers there are open all year (and you can fish the Swift River FFO area every month of the year.) tight lines, Gerry
