Good to hear from you! I hardly ever check this site anymore so I didn't see your message for a while.
hmmmm......where to begin.... Well, this summer/fall I fished the Clackamas,Sandy, Lewis, Kalama, Deschutes, Klickitat, Hoh, Queets I moved to the Pacific North West in July! Kind of a long story but here is the short version...
My girlfriend got a good job out here and she has family in WA State. We had an opportunity and decided to take it before its to late. I am completely wrapped around swinging flies for steelhead with a spey rod so I figured it would be a great risk. So far so good. I love it out here. I live in Vancouver WA and work in Portland OR. I fish on the weekends or at least one weekend day. I spent a lot of time on the Deschutes this past summer. Its a paradise! I would ride my bike about 5 miles up from the mouth and I would be on prime water. I landed two fish this fall over 30 inches and caught my first steelhead on a floating line set up.
