It is another of those old laws like closing trout ponds in Oct. that seem to have no real rational reason and no biological basis.

We used to deer hunt that area some years ago and there was an old road but it was not driveable. I see that Fish and Game still lists the pond as remote - walk in. Never fished it.

I saw on TV tonite that the pond stocking has started. It got me to thinking once again as to why trout ponds close in Oct. and do not open until late April.
