Default Short firearms season for me.

Filled my NH firearms tag an hour and fifteen minutes after legal shooting light on opening day of muzzleloader season. Now it's back to the bow if I want another crack at a deer.

125. There were a couple 8 pointers in this spot a week or so before the opener, based on trail cam video - but after passing on a doe the first weekend of archery season and not getting another shot since - I wasn't going to be picky. Biologist that aged him said he was a yearling. Pretty nice for a yearling - 7 pts, 125 field dressed and he was full of fat.
