Default Albie Ideas for MV in September

Hello Friends,

I'm an avid striper fly fisherman haunting the backwaters of NH from my kayak.

I have the opportunity to stay on Martha's Vineyard from September 8-11 near Edgartown.

I will have a vehicle and hear good things about a potential Albie score from shore.

Any and all ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you ,

Kent in Bedford

The wind can dictate which side of the island the fish are on and then target areas where the tide creates current. We have had fish right in Edgartown Harbor near the lighthouse. Do not overlook any of the bridge crossings or box culverts draining into the ocean when tide is running out. Check reports online and stop in one of the shops for intel. Have not heard that they have arrived yet. Bonito and Albies are great fish on fly or hardware. Good luck.

Here are a few places to consider. The Edgartown Light and it's beaches. The "Gut" on Chappie can be very hot at times. The "jetties" at Mememsha can also be good. I recommend a check in with the people at "Coops". He usually is right on top of things. If you can toss the money a night beach trip with him is a blast. "Been there done that"
